    Exclamation Phobias and panic attack

Let me introduce Frodo - the golden retriever picked up from the shelter, who feels strong fear towards strange people, entering gates and unknown premises. He is also afraid of ) large open space, streets etc. You can see here our first meeting. We have used first the loose leash walking as the signal of absence of the threat stimuli. Dog is concentrated on his job, not on his fear. Next we entered the gate and to the premises. First in the very beginning of this exercise Frodo tried to go away. The very important point of this phase of training was to associate the relief feeling with overcome the fear. The relief and relax were the positive reinforcement for the desirable behaviour. It turned out, that the „phobias” were not very serious, and we finished our training successfully. Now we are planning to improve loose leash walking in distractions and even in the future walking without the leash.
