    Default Won't eat

    Mike,

Lately Belle is refusing to eat breakfast. We have not made any changes to schedule, food amounts, food brand etc. We go through the same routine and yet she is not interested in eating. However, as soon as she comes back into the room and sees that you have taken the food away she vomits. I usually leave the food out for about 30 minutes before taking it away. Now I know a dog will not starve themselves, but she is a PITA the remainder of the day! She will usually eat dinner (at the normal serving time). Again I know she will not starve herself, but what could be the causing the change in behavior?

    Default Picky puppy wont eat

I would suggest picking it up the moment she walks away instead of waiting 30 minutes, then trying again a couple more times a few minutes apart before giving up.

Her weight looks great so maybe it is just a change in calorie needs. Might need to feed her less in PM and AM if you want to do two feedings.
    Those are my first thoughts.

She is vomiting most likely because her body is reacting to the expectation of food at that time - which can happen when the dog is on a routine that suddenly changes.

Does seem a little weird that it would happen so suddenly. Be sure not to add anything to make it more tastey, because then it becomes expected and you get more nose turning to the food when the extra stuff not there.

    Keep me posted.
