I've been asked about the gauntlets used in the Hunkie video (part 1). I got those from Bite Buster www.bitebuster.com.


I would warn not to count on them too heavily. They are best for small dogs mostly and a "better than nothing" item for a bigger dog that might give you a quick fear bite.

Earl was using a pair of shorty gloves from the same company during protection work, and Milo the Rottie's teeth cut through the kevlar like it was cotton during a misjudged target. The good thing is that Earl's hand was fine. So it was definitely "better than nothing". The gaunlets also have a layer of neoprene which the shorty gloves do not have.

I have personally bit my own arm wearing these gauntlets pretty hard and it was difficult to hurt myself - but I do not have canine teeth like Milo.
